Grass Valley, October 26, 2004 -- An electrifying fusion of Jazz Art and jazz music will be held at the Mill Street Gallery, Grass Valley when multipercussionist Ian Dogole, 2 time Grammy Award nominee Paul McCandless with Sheldon Brown on woodwinds, and highly acclaimed bassist Bill Douglass unveil their latest DVD release, Ian Dogole & Hemispheres in Concert.

Their performance, set amidst the evocative Jazz Art of versatile artist/author/musician E.J. Gold, was captured live by Bay area filmaker Jamie Campana.

E.J. Gold was chosen in both 2003 and 2004 to provide the jazz art for the International Association of Jazz Education, at their world conferences in Toronto and New York, respectively. He has also provided art for the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles, Jazz at the A-Frame in Beverly Hills, Mill Valley Jazz, the New School and many other venues.

Many of Gold's Jazz Art canvasses will be on exhibit at the Mill Street Gallery during the DVD Screening.

The DVD screening will take place on Saturday, November 6th from 4-7 pm at the Mill Street Gallery, 120 Mill Street, Grass Valley and will feature live music by Ian Dogole and Bill Douglass plus Gold's Jazz Art.

Signed copies of the DVD will be available for purchase. Admission will be free to the public and refreshments will be served. Mill Street Gallery is in the center of Old Town Grass Valley, right next to Yuba Blue. There is free parking in the rear on Bank Street. Call 271-2239 for more information.
